Reconstructed Hybrid Optical OFDM-NOMA for Multiuser VLC Systems

چکیده
Non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) is deemed to be a prospective technology of the next generation. However, in visible light communication (VLC), when advanced hybrid optical orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (O-OFDM), such as asymmetrically clipped O-OFDM (HACO-OFDM), combined with NOMA, error propagation induced, which degrades system performance. Therefore, novel reconstructed O-OFDM-NOMA (RHO-OFDM-NOMA) scheme conceived this paper. In order eliminate propagation, users RHO-OFDM-NOMA opt for ACO-OFDM or clipping-free signals according their channel qualities, are subsequently superimposed on pulse-amplitude-modulated discrete multitone (PAM-DMT) yield spectrum-efficient signal. Furthermore, reconstruction process designed ensure non-negativity. Compared HACO-OFDM, proposed RHO-OFDM can retain NOMA-VLC, whilst maintaining superiorities high spectral and power efficiency. It demonstrated by simulation results that support notably higher data rate than NOMA schemes using conventional O-OFDM.

Visible light communications (VLC) technology permits the exploitation of light-emitting diode (LED) luminaries for simultaneous illumination and broadband wireless communication. Optical orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (O-OFDM) is a promising modulation technique for VLC systems, in which the real-valued O-OFDM baseband signal is used to modulate the instantaneous power of the optic...
متن کاملTransmit power adaptation for multiuser OFDM systems
In this paper, we develop a transmit power adaptation method that maximizes the total data rate of multiuser orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) systems in a downlink transmission. We generally formulate the data rate maximization problem by allowing that a subcarrier could be shared by multiple users. The transmit power adaptation scheme is derived by solving the maximization pro...

A low complexity dynamic subcarrier and power allocation methodology for downlink communication in an OFDM-based multiuser environment is developed. The problem of maximizing overall capacity with constraints on total power consumption, bit error rate and data rate proportionality among users requiring different QOS specifications is formulated. Assuming perfect knowledge of the instantaneo...
متن کاملOptimal power allocation in multiuser OFDM systems
Multiuser orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (MU-OFDM) is a promising technique for achieving high downlink capacities in future cellular systems. A key issue in MU-OFDM is the allocation of the OFDM subcarriers and power among users sharing the channel. Previous allocation algorithms cannot ensure fairness in advance. In this paper, a proportional rate adaptive resource allocation meth...
